    Brochure vs Catalog

I am attempting to set up my first site using actinic v6 ecommerce. In doing so I have immediately hit a snag...

Does anyone know how to edit the navigation for act_brochureprimary.html? can I not use the same menu as act_primary.html? If I try to use the individual nav button nqv's they don't work (but they do in act_primary.html!) . Is this because I need to use act_header.html, if so how do I include this in my template as none of the examples use it.

It seems to me that all web sites should use consistant navigation and not change it as you move through the site. Why are the brochure sections different from the catalog? I really thought that the latest version would embrace the 'your site is your shop' policy and not a 'bolt on'...

Please help me to understand what is going on here as I find it all very confusing and the guides do not really help...

    Cheers - thanks in advance!

I don't use the brouchure pages but use what I design as the style for the whole site. I think a lot of users still use this method.

e.g. create you site, then place the NETQUOTEVARS needed for the body of the catalog in a page from the site and save this as Act_Primary

The brouchure pages can be hard coded if needed just strip out the navbar code

Take a look at the latest advanced user guide. It describes how to place view cart and checkout buttons on any page even on a different web host.

This may help you create your navigation

      good luck

List of links for your sites. Brouchure pages do not support being static.
