    Error log full of...umm...errors

Just looked at the error log on my server and it is full of errors like this (same file, just different users/times) -
[Fri Oct 10 18:06:50 2003] [error] [client 213.40.x.x] File does not exist: /data/web/_l/_o/_w/lowcarbgoodies.co.uk/public/www//acatalog/sitemap2.gif
I don't even have sitemap enabled (I tried it but it didn't appear to work so I turned it off again) - Any ideas?

Will the users get any errors at their end?

The user won't get any errors, this is just the HTTP server telling you that it has tried to find a file without success.

My guess is that it is from the onLoad function in the <body> part of the page, which preloads all the highlight images for the navigation bar. Check you have no reference to 'sitemap2.gif' in 'Design Options | Navigation'.
