Changing Order Numbers

Hi guys,

I am currently running Actinic v7.0.6.0.0.0 GBGA and have had a custom script set up that allows us to shorten the seemingly useless order number to a 6 digit number. Unfortunately whilst trying to rectify one of the many issues we've had recently, I think I completed refreshed the web site (thus wiping any custom scripts). The system was set up before I arrived (that and I'm useless with scripts anyway!!) and therefore I've got no idea what to do. The guy who set it up can't remember how either.

Basically I need to shorten our order number from 18342410000490 to 000490. Can anyone help me with this?

Its not completely useless. By default, the first part is made up of the customer's initials and postcode. If they contact you and can't remember their order no., you can deduce it from this information. Admittedly, you can search recent orders for their name, as well.
