    SSL, Cookies and IE6

    Hello,
I've just changed moved our site, www.fpbookroom.org to using SSL encryption instead of the java applet. Since then whenever someone with windows XP (and I assume anyone with IE6) proceeds to checkout they get an error message saying that they need to have cookies enabled. I've got cookies enabled and someone else I asked to check has got the default settings, and we both get that error message. Presumably the problem is caused because IE6 is doesn't accept all cookies.
Is there any work around for this? And am I correct in thinking that is's just occured because of the change to SSL?
    Thanks,

    James

Your problem is casued by IE6 blocking what are called 'third-party cookies'. This is when a file under a different domain to the one shown in the browser tries to set a cookie. Your perl files are in 'https://secure24.easyspace.com/www.fpbookroom.org/' but your frameset is on 'http://www.fpbookroom.org/'. It is the frame that is causing this problem.

If you were on v6 you could change your SSL settings in 'Business Settings | Payment and Security' to only have the checkout under SSL.

In the absence of that, you will need to remove all frames from the store as soon as possible, or else use 'https://secure24.easyspace.com/www.fpbookroom.org/homepage.htm' for the address of the Actinic store.

Thankyou for that! I've solved the problem by using an automatic refresh, to a page withing the secure part of the site.
