    All components showing in basket

I think this question may have been asked before but I can't find the answer...

Is it possible to limit components shown in the shopping basket to just those that have been selected from droplists?

For example, if I order 5 white items (out of a possible 5 colour choices), the basket shows the following:

    Choice 1 - White: 5 - £5.50 1
    Choice 2 - Ivory: Select 1
    Choice 3 - Burgundy: Select 1
    Choice 4 - Lilac: Select 1
    Choice 5 - Pale Pink: Select 1

One of my current clients doesn't want all the choices showing, understandably.

    Hope someone can help.

What you need to do is create a seperate component for each colour choice, and then have an attribute with a single choice called 'Yes' in each one.

Then, in the component, tick 'Is Optional' and tick 'Include [None] in Attribute Choice List'. If you change 'None' to read 'No' then there will be a 'yes/no' drop-down for each color. The ones that you have 'no' for will not appear in the shopping cart.

Does this set you on the right road?

Sorry, Chris, I've got four stores on the go at the moment and haven't had a chance to try this yet! I'll let you know how it goes, when it goes
