Paypal in New Zealand

Hi, long-time listener, first-time poster..

I'm still using V7 Catalog and have been trying to get Paypal going with no luck so far. The problem is that when I bought the software PP wasn't available locally, so buyers had to go through the Australian one and currency conversions all over the place.

It has been available here for a while now but when I try to select it Actinic says "Paypal cannot be used, they do not process in NZ dollars".

Can someone pleeeease help with this? I really don't need to upgrade to v9 as 7 does everything I need for my little shop.

7.0.7 is the last version of V7.

www.actinic.co.uk/support/versions.htm but it may be because you are using the uk version of the software. There is a designer using actinic in the north island that sometimes posts so he may help or someho e could try a uk site for you to see if they get the same problem.

I just noticed that 7.0.7 was newer and tried that but still no joy.

I tried the chap in the North for quite a while and he was going to charge about $100 to write a patch, but after several attemps to get him to go ahead with it he never responded so I gave up....

Then it sounds like you may be out of luck. I've not got v7 on my pc anymore so cannot check but it sounds like the link is in £. There is a similar thread running so what about putting your prices in in £ and using the second currency to show nz then removing the £ from the price layout leaving it showing nz but actinic is working in £

Hi,

You could try the following:

- close Actinic
- browse to 'c:\program files\actinic v7\OCCUPgrade' folder
- take a backup of 'OCCUpgrade.ini'
- then edit this file in a text editor such as notepad
- search for:

ProviderID=20000

- add a new line in above this and add in:

ProviderID=900
IntlSymbol='NZD'
bOptional=0

- then at the top of the file, increment the version number by 1, for example, if 'Number=1110', change it to 'Number=1111'

- close and save the file and re-open Actinic
- you should see a message about updating the Payment Service Provider details
- you should then be able to select Paypal Website Payments to accept New Zealand Dollars

This currency has been added to v9 already but note that it will only work on Paypal Website Payments.

I;ve done all that but now get an error message when opening:
An error was encountered during the upgrade. The error reported was: The number of entries in the OCCProviderAttributes section of the upgrade file does not match the field count. Please contact your Actinic reseller or Actinic Support as appropriate for help in resolving this.

Hi again, i found the problem, the were two places where ProviderID was, so looks like it should work...
