    SSL and 1and1

Hi, I have just managed (finally) to upload my site complete with 1and1 SSL.

However, when I go through checkout, there's no padlock in the bottom right of screen.

I figured that should be there? Can anyone enlighten me please?!

    Many thanks
    Michelle

in IE7 it's now on the top right beside the url.

They certainly have - April this year banned it - loads of threads about PCI compliance on the forum.

I wish! For a lot of complicated reasons I can't use Paypal or Nochex. WorldPay is a possibility I'm looking into. All the others have such horrendous terms for our business type it's just unviable.

We have a foreign merchant account so alot of the others aren't viable either!

                    Welcome to my world!!

Put the price of a ticket up to cover the costs

No, it's not the cost, there's loads of other terms which are just completely off the wall, like keeping the money for 3 months.

We're talking here the likes of Optimal Payments et al who are not FSA registered and are relatively unheard of. In the current climate they don't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling that the money would be safe.

No worries, we'll continue to look into other options

Have a look at the low cost Actinic payments option, ideal if you are a startup. I did a spreadsheet on all the options looking at average order value and orders per month and that one worked out best on my figures. With streamline we get the payments within days and no retention.
