    search engine robot check question

hi all is there a way to make the search engine robots check your pages for updates every say 2 days rather than weekly or 3 weekly? I'm constantly updating keywords etc and would like them to reflect sooner rather than later.

    Cheers,

    Unfortunately not.

Search engine spiders are very unpredictable and seem to decide when it is time to visit your site, could be every 3 days and then not for 3 weeks. You have no control over them.

However, if you go for PFI (Paid for inclusion) search engine listings then you are usually guaranteed to get spidered every 48 hours. Have a look at the following:

    http://www.positiontech.com/index.htm

    They will get you in:
    Lycos
    AllTheWeb
    AskJeeves
    + many more
And the pages you submit will be regularly re-indexed, for a fee of course.

Positiontech are just one company if you have search around you will find more.

The more popular your site becomes the more frequently the robots will visit
