    Incorrect customer error messages

    A customer has been receiving the following error message when trying to order on-line:-

    "The site configuration has been updated by the shop operator while you are checking out. Please navigate back to the product pages by pressing the Browser Back button and try again or contact the site owner."


    There was definitely no update of the website taking place when this was encountered. I'm using Catalog 6.1.3 DHBA.

    Clearly of some concern as others may be being put off. I cannot reproduce this fault myself.

    I no idea what the answer to this is, but it does prompt a more obvious question - If the store owner does send an update (regular stock updates for example) to the shop while people are using it, does it have any impact on them?

      I guess that's a problem - if there are any .session files open then there will undoubtedly be consequences. Best to wait till there's a quiet period to upload. I try to restrict uploading to early mornings and late at night.
