    Help with MachForm

    Hi Guys,

Due to the increase in spam on my websites 'Contact Us' page, I decided to install a copy of MachForm which Gabe kindly gave us a 'heads up' on.

Unfortunately, I am stuck at the first hurdle !

I uploaded the MachForm folder to the root and changed the 'data' folder to '777' as explained in the installatiion instructions. I then logged on to the control panel (4Sure hosting) and using the File Manager I tried running the installer.php only to be greeted with the code appearing together with a line stating that there was no config.php file - which there most definately is !

Whilst I appreciate that the MachForm author will do a free install, I would rather do it myself as I think this is the best way to learn. If anyone has implemented this on their website and would like to share their method using an 'Idiots Guide' for someone who is not particularly savvy on PHP, I would be most grateful.

    Thanks in advance.
    Graham

      Hi Gabe,

Thanks for the info, finally managed to get the MachForm Pre-Installation Check page started. Unfortunately it throws up a few errors. The first one being that the MySQL database is the wrong version which may very well have an impact on the other errors !

I checked with 4Sure hosting before buying the MachForm software and was told that their servers all meet the requirements in terms of PHP and MySQL versions.

Does anyone else use MachForm on 4Sure servers or are their Tech Dept. wrong with the MySQL version installed ?
