    Special Page

    Hi there,

If you are using Actinic brochure pages you can use a fragment to list your 'special offers or products', which can be linked directly to a section, product or a URL.

If you are using Actinic catalog pages then you can simply create a product at the top level i.e. within the 'online catalog'.

    Hope this help
    Thank You

If the products are on special offer and still reside in another area of the site. How do you stop the item coming up twice within search results? Is this possible?

            Special offers

I have managed to create a specials page. What I did was create a new product at the top level of my catalog. Then in the short descrition box put "This Week: Product name here only £0.00". Then put in the price again in the price box.Insert your image you have used for the product already. Now click on your new product and create a component called special offers. Then associate the "special offers" component with your existing product. Then double click the original product and in the general tab click hide on website. Is this any help to you?

              Hi,
I want to make a specials page. Not sure if its best to make a proper page or make a new section called Specials. Also, if I copy the product do I jus t need to paste as a duplicate and change the price and text in the Original?

I tried that method of adding the product to the main page, it seems ok if you want the item on the main page, I assume it will also work if you want to add to the specials page.

Duplicates are a v7 feature not available in v6 hence the work around above.

If you have v7 then the duplicates facility is a god-send as you simply change the master and the duplicates update (be aware that some of the settings are not automatically updated in the duplicate when chaning the master. The ability to track duplicates is an issue which hopefully Actinic have on their wish list
