Confirmation Orders Sent Twice

I have an actinic v7. some of my customers have just emailed me because they have just received their order confirmation email again - although some of these orders date back to 2007 ?

has anyone seen a case of confirmation orders being resent months after the order was completed ?

could this be a virus on the pc?

The only time I've seen this happen is when you press the send all email button by mistake. When you send an email from the orders tab it is stored for sending - most people think they are sent mediately. So I once sent thousands of emails dating back two years from a clients site

I am so glad you just made that admission Malcolm, there was me feelin' like an idiot for doing this in similar fashion too. Glad to hear not even the pro's are immune to Actinic's mindboggling features

Took me a while to work out how it had happened - on the plus side it generated a few repeat orders but definately not reccommended as a marketing strategy

903 has fixed this and now sends emails immediatey so that's a huge improvement

Just as well we didn't receive any customer emails asking when the item they had just bought would be delivered. Though we got a few phone calls from customers saying they hadn't bought anything off us lately so why the order confirmation e-mail? Oh yeah, that's because they did, way back in 2005. Oops.

I think it catches alot of people as the send all button is right next to the upload button and its an easy mistake to make.
