    Changing Site Name

Is it possible to re-name a site.

What I mean by this is that say yoiu have a site called site1 and I wanted to chnage this to mysite.

Do I sinmply rename the folder in the sites folder or will thi snot work.

This is only an admin query so that I don't forget what site1 and site2 are.

    Hi James

Do not rename the folder outside Actinic. The reason is because the folder names are kept in the registry as well

The best way to rename folder, would be:

    Open Actinic
    Click on "File | Sites"

Now the tick should NOT be on the one you wish to change, if you want to rename site1, simply first go to site2, so the tick is on there. Once you have done that, simply click on site1 first, so it has been highlighted. Once that is done, simply click on it again.

You will have an outline of the box, in which you can rename the folder

        Hi,
I'm trying to rename a site I get a permission denied error, see attached screen shot.

Any ideas how to get this sorted?
        Thanks

          Hi there

Close down actinic, and go to that folder that you wish to rename. Right click on it to see the properties. Make sure it is not Read Only.

I changed the Actinic folder from read only and it's sorted.

To export a snapshot to a client, does the site have to be named "site1"

            Thanks Nadeem

              Hi there

Yes, the default site folder has to be called Site1 I'm afraid.
