upload_ 502 error: server gateway error

    Hi!
My client has constantly got problems with uploading her catalogue. We've just changed the index page to be independent form Actinic, so that she won't have those problems anymore, now she's getting another error! It's a nightmare!
Can anybody tell me what this error means?

A server error occurred while attempting to merge server files. 502 - Gateway Error

    Cheers!

    Hi Anuschka

I would check in seeing if all the .fil files in the your /acatalog/ folder of your website is set to a permission of 777, or read, write and execute.

To check this, you will need an ftp software and the ability to use CHMOD function. If you have neither of this, then i would suggest in contacting your webhost company

Also if you have changed permission and still getting issues, then most likely is seems to be a server issue, and you will need to contact your webhost company

    Kind Regards

      Missing CGI bin files

      Hello Nadeem!
Thanks a lot for your help, I will keep that in mind. In a long over-night session, I have finally found that the snapshot that had been sent around had for some reasons not carried some of the files within the CGI bin, but when the customer uploaded the files, the "old" ones were deleted and nothing was replaced. I uploaded them with my FTP, but I find this very difficult to understand and accept that these things can happen just by sending fully finished and fully working snapshots around.

I hope I have resolved this problem now, as we will hopefully never need sending snapshots again...
