Quick and easy affiliate setup?

I've a V5 site and am constantly being asked if we run an affiliate scheme.

Any quick and easy guides to setting one up?

Read the advanced user guide and install the referrer.pl file

referrer.pl problems

I've tried using referrer.pl but it garbles the webpages I've got. I've modified the catalogue site to use PHP within many of the web pages and this then doesnt get run when using referrer.pl
