    early version Actinic, V4

    hello!
We have a very early version of Actinic v4. This was used to build our old web site which we would now like to edit. We wish to add some text and delete/change prices of products. Unfortunately our collegue who built the site is no longer with us and we do not know how to access the site in order to make these changes.

If you have any advice then we would be very grateful to receive it.
Thanks for taking time to read this.

    Regards
    Rae

If you have no system with the actinic software already installed or a backup that you can restore from, i suspect that you will be starting again from scratch using the old site to copy paste data into the new one. If you have nothing actinic related your end at all and have no means of getting in touch with the employee (hope you didn't fire them, cos you are screwed if you did lol), then you have no other option.

You could always offer up a V4 website to the natural history museum, rumour has it they also fetch a tidy sum at auction. Only kidding, we are on version 9 now though, 10 not too far away, probably a good time to start again, a lot of things have changed from 50 years ago when v4 was released.

You have to be using Actinic in order to download and process orders. It's probably sitting there permanently in the Orders tab.

Simply click the Content tab and you're now looking at the products and sections.

See the Help or Starter Guide for more info.

With the more modern designs and marketing aids in the current versions, I would suggest you upgrade and start again with the fresh software or ask one of the online designers to update it for you

The other reasons are increased security and a much simpler method of design after ver 7.

Do you still take card details by customers inserting them on a form online or sending them directly to a PSP like protx etx
