    V7 - Shipping, help needed!

Hi guys, I need some help with the following issue.

We sell CD's & Sheet Music, since last week the board agreed that the CD's for inside the UK will ship for 2.95 and the Sheet Music 4.95. Till now this has been for both 2.95.

How can I get this setup?

    This is our old setup:
UK - 2.95 (for all orders and whatever quantity they would take of products)
    Europe - I've got a table setup quantity wise. 1 = 4, 2 = 4.5, 3 = 5.5, etc.etc.
Rest of the World - Same as Europe but with different prices.

Now I only need this to take effect on the UK orders where I split them up between 2.95 for CD's and 4.95 for Sheet Music. How can I take care of that?

    Thanks

I have no experience in V7, but using the "weight" facility would be best.

Assign different weights to the CDs and Sheet music then adjust the shipping table to suit.

I know, but it doesn't seem possible to only assign weight for UK and keep the rest of the World & Europe in the loop for quantity...

Hmmmmm, does V7 not let you assign different shipping basis' for different locations?

You may need to upgrade then, but there may be someone with V7 knowledge kicking about that could let you know for definite. Or you could contact actinic?

Or I just have to upgrade

EDIT: What also comes to mind. As soon as people order a 2nd CD, the charges also will go to 4.95, while as long as they just order CD's the prices stays at 2.95.... so weight is also not an option if you ask me.

            Cds = 0.98kg
            Sheets = 0.99kg

            Shipping tables:
            UK: £2.95 up to 0.98Kg, then £4.95
            EU: £4.00 up to 1Kg, £4.50 up to 2Kg, £5.50 up to 3Kg, etc
ROW: As EU with different prices.

This should work up to about 50 pieces.

            Mike

PS: Bugger, this will overcharge for multiple CDs. Hmm.

            PPS:

OK. This should do it but the tables are a bit messy.

            CDs: 0.001kg
            Sheets: 1Kg

            UK. £2.95 up to 0.99Kg then £4.95
            EU: 0.001kg - £4.00, 0.002Kg - £4.50, 0.003Kg - £5.50, etc
            and 1.000kg - £4.00, 1.001Kg - £4.50, etc
            and 2.000kg - £4.50, 2.001Kg - £5.50, etc
            ROW: As above, different charges

              Hi mike, thanks.
But as soon as a customer orders a 2nd CD, the price goes up to 4.95, while he only has to be charged with 2.95 as long as he orders CD's...

EDIT, yep saw your PS under there after I posted this...

p.s. As soon as Actinic would confirm this is NOT available in Actinic 7, but is available in Actinic 9, and explain me HOW, I will immediatelly upgrade... so to all 9 users, you also can pitch in if you want and explain me how this would be done on Actinic 9.

Without you being Sat down in front of a copy of V9, any steps we tell you will probably not make much sense.

Download the trial and have a play.

Essentially you will be able to ship UK items by weight and International by quantity.
