    I've just set up a trial account with securehosting and I entered a wrong number in the payments section in actinic. Now I've discovered this and corrected it in actinic do I have to update the website again simply because I changed this one thing or is there another way.

    I really don't want to update as it takes a couple of days to upload each time due to connection and ftp errors unless I sit next to the computer for hours at a time!!!!

    Yes you have to update. There are 2 options within Actinic; "Refresh" and "Update". "Refresh" sends all the files. "Update" only sends the files which have changed since the last Refresh or Update.

        Hi Jan

        Thanks for that but I tried the 1-stop you suggest on trial last night and it failed either saying actinic was busy or doesn't allow so many retries.

        Needless to say I was a bit disappointed as I had to do it myself all day today.

          If it says that Actinic is busy then it means that you have a dialog open in Actinc, close Actinic and try again.

          If it says that too many retries have occured it means that the number of retries specified for a type of dialog have been exceeded, most people don't have problems that need a retry and so the default setting is low, to resolve this go to the options dialog and set the number of allowed retries to a higher value (it defaults to 3 or 10, so maybe 30 or 100 would be better for you). It might be that pushing the retry button alone is not enough (you might need to restart you internet connection for example after a timeout), if that is the case then the moles will not help but if it is just a matter of pushing the right buttons then they work very nicely.             Hi Jan

            I started with actinic shut down, then started the 1-stop software and left it. It was then that it said actinic is busy. That took me back to square one I'm afraid.

            Changing the number of retries is something I didn't do so I could try that and the connection I have is constant (cable modem as opposed to ADSL)

              Hi Jan

              Just tried changing the number of retries and setting everything to 300.

              Actinic was not running and I clicked 'run now' and left it overnight. When I came back to it this morning it had failed again. I closed the program before noting the error message so I did it again half an hour ago and it failed again with following message,

              Run failed - The dialog 'Check and Send Files' does not exist.

              I've been trying to get my site uploaded for 72 hours now without success.

              Any ideas Jan??
