Broken links to images after importing

I have exported an .acd file from my very old Pentium III computer, which had a Windows XP service pack 2 operating system and have imported the file onto my new MacBook Pro, which has a Bootcamp partition and VMware Fusion that runs Windows Vista Home Premium Service pack 1.

I have downloaded the most recent version of Actinic Catalog 7.07.

The import of the .acd file works except all the images and buttons show up as broken links, both on the pages within Actinic and also in the off line preview.

All the images are in directories of the same name as the original and are in in the C: drive partition, and also the image browser in Actinic does go to the correct directory/location in the new installation. I still get the broken link if I try to manually update the image.

Please let me know if there are any (new security?) issues with Vista that may cause this, or if there is another solution.

    Thank you for your help.

Try turning off User Account Control in Vista and see if it helps.

Thanks Duncan for your swift reply.

I have unchecked the User Account control check box, restarted Windows. The broken links are still there.
