moving snapshot onto new laptop

can anyone tell me how to take my site snap shot from my old lap top and put it on my new laptop and upload it....

i know this should be a logical process but i can't for the life of me get my head round it at the moment.

CD, DVD, memory stick, FTP, email - to name a few. It's just a file, how would you approach getting a photo from one machine to another? It's the same process.

i know it should be this straigt forward but when i tried to put the file on a disk it wanted other infiormation.

ok i've got over my dim moment and i now have my site on my new laptop.

i wne to text the connection in newwork settings and it is telling me that my 'windows firewall has blocked this program from accepting incoming nexwork connections'. i have the option to keep blocking or unblock.

i am a bit caucious as i've had virus problems recently, can anyone advise me what i should do?

Can you clarify what texting your network settings means please.

sorry - it was a typo - i meant test the connection.

Ah ok, you need to unblock actinic then as it will not work without permission to get through your firewall.

sorry if i am asking the obvious but i have had trouble with trojans and code injections recently.

if i open the firewall to actinic, will this leave me open to virus' etc...

also i have found the way to open it up and there is a 'catalog-internet sales' but not actinic, is this the right option?
