Adding a banner to my header

    Hi all,

Is it possible to include an advertising banner within a page header and not just add to a page as a new product?

    Regards

    Steve

    Hi Steve

If you download the Advanced Users Guide by going here, then go to page 47 - it explains how you can include banner adverts into the store.

    Hope that helps

      Hi James,

That only tells me what I aready know, to add a banner using a dummy product but I wish to have a banner displayed at the top of the page, i.e. within the page header

any ideas how this could be achieved?

      Regards

      Steve

You would need to change your primary template, or add something to the page header field on site defaults in design options, that would give you the same banner on every page, if you want a different one then you would need to use the fake product method.

            Hi Steve Q,

Thanks for your advice. I had a play around with Act_Primary.html and with a bit of patience I have finally succeeded.

            Cheers

            Steve

no I pasted in the html code after this:

                td>NETQUOTEVAR:LOGOIMAGE</td>
                <td align="right">&nbsp;</td>

                and adjusted the alignment

You could use a javascript rotator with a random number generator.
