Meta Discriptions

To get the best out of search engine ratings does it make any difference if you have a genetic Meta description for the home page and the same discription for all subsequent pages, or is it better to individually describe each section with its own meta description

Whilst I apreceate that some very varied sites may benifit, I think most sites are quite small in product range and could cover all in one description.

it is better to have unique meta tags for all pages - ie title, keywords, description
