    secure payment

i use actinic to capture client cc details and send them to me encrypted to manualy process my end. Is there anyway i can add a paddlock to assure my clients this is a safe way to buy from my site. I have a terminal in the shop so dont want to join any of the merchants ie secpay, paypal etc.
But fear i may be losing sales beacuse of the paddlock business.

    Any advice on this one?

ps i may have to consider one soon as its very time consuming when i have a lot of orders, but for now...

also just read about actinic shared ssl for £100 a year, this may be a solution i think, anyone have any info on it or are using it?

    Thanks

I do business the same way. You need to purchase an SSL certificate from Verisign, Thawte, or others and install it on your server. That gives you SLL and the padlock. I'm assuming you're use Actinic's Java applet, which is secure, but has no padlock on the page.

Then you need to set in the business settings -> Payment and Security: SSL On checkout pages.
