The NETQUOTEVARs below can be uncommented for getting raw section lists:
1. Top level section list
2. Section list from current level and all children
3. The whole section tree
The rest covers the standalone structure members for each array - e.g. if
you only need sName or sURL from an array.
See the documentation for details.
If I reduce the cell spacing to less than 5 then the gap does decrease, however, it then starts to push my header image further up and as I have a background image running along the top underneath the logo, this means everything become disjointed.
I need to be able to keep everything which is happening in my header static, while the menu table moves up.
At one time in the past I had problems because some of the templates and various bits of html were using spaces instead of tabs for indenting the html code.
The problem is that is if the spaces aren't within a cell then they get 'printed' at the top of the table thereby causing wierd gaps where there shouldn't be any.
In the end I went through all the templates and html bits and manually deleted any spaces I could find, replacing them with tabs. This cured the problem.
I'm sorry but I can't remember exactly where this occured.
I use customised templates and because of the mess the upgrade makes (version upgrades in particular, i.e. V5 -> v6) I compare new and old files and then copy the new bits into my customised files.
Sorry didn't get back in touch. Just reading through my old postings in case I missed something.
Well if you've noticed my latest post...No I didn't fix this problem.
I managed to cheat on the site I originally posted my message about and made the gap part of the design! but this time I'm using a photograph, so the images have to close together.
Do you have a URL to look at? The image does not give me enough of a clue about what is going on.
One tip - is the gap underneath the logo image? If so then remove all comments and line breaks from Act_LogoImage.html and ensure that 'Compress HTML/CGI' is selected in 'Design | Options | Miscellaneous'.
You can also do this with navigation icons by editing Act_NavigationItem and Act_NavigationImage.
