moving Actinic from local to web server

    Hi there

we are currently running Actinic on our local server and when needed we're uploading the changes to the webserver.
We're now interested to move all to the webserver so the upload will run much faster.
Has anyone got any experience with doing this?
    Thanks

Actinic is designed as a desktop system,

      That's right.
I want to move it to our Windows based server.
Or essentially I just want to know how to move whole actinic from one machine to another.

I was under the impression they were trying to run actinic as a web based system on their dedicated server, must have misunderstood

will snapshot not take the same timespan or longer as a upload can ignore images already their

After the site's moved I would guess they will use remote sessions to run Actinic in rather than locally on their PC.

You would not be able to use something like the link program which could be a great disadvantage plus quite a few setup problems I would imagine

If using Multi-User you need actinic on each user workstation so don't understand howyou could connect to the sites folder if actitic was run on the dedicated server as the user site location only allows local connections to the local network
