    Publishing to a different folder

I'm nearly ready to publish my catalogue onto the internet but would like to publish it into a test folder so that I can check everything out before I put it on the main page. Someone has mentioned to me in the past that this is possible but unforunately I can't remember how. I would be very grateful if someone could send me some instructions on how to do this.

    Thanks for your help

Its all controlled in the Advance Network settings. Assuming the folder yyou want it all to be in is called "test" then...

    change Catalog URL to:
    http://yourhostname/test/acatalog/
(you will need to create that folder first)

    change CGI BIN URL:
    http://yourhostname/cgi-bin/test/
(you may also need to create that folder first)

change Path from cgi bin to acatalog directory to:
    ../../test/acatalog/

    change web site URL to:
    http://yourhostname/test/
(place test home pages etc here)

change path to cgi bin to:
    cgi-bin/test/
(assumes your ftp-root folder is yourhostname - else add the path as well.)

For safety also change CGI script number id from 1 to 2

If you create a text import file for test and live network settings you can then just import the file you want when you need to. See the file called "SampleNetworkSettingsImport.txt" in your site 1 folder.
