Custom Variable not displaying

We have a series of custom variables we want displayed. In the product line template, we have entered the necessary code, and the names of the variables display. However, the data does not. If I check the individual items in the catalog, they are there, but they do not show up in the offline preview. I know there is some simple thing I am forgetting, I have gotten them to display in the past, but they won't now. Any ideas?

Hi,

Can you check a couple of things:

1. You have added the custom variable to the 'Advanced | Custom Properties' list

2. You have entered the variable into the product template in the format of: CUSTOMVAR:WHATEVER (note the capital letters)

If you're using Business, remember that when setting the Custom Var in the Product Details / Property dialogue you have to check "Use as Customvar".

Thanks to all. I discovered the problem was with settings for Business vs. Catalog as it interfaced with the file I was importing.
All is working.
