    Hi Brian.

The most likely reason for this occuring is that the server does not have enough RAM to run the cgi-scripts. We recommend 16Mb or above for version 6.

    Hope this helps.

I wonder if everyone is talking about the same type of memory. 16MB is what needs to be available to the Perl scripts, not the memory the server has.

I just tested my site with 50 different products in the cart with no problem. It is a Unix server with at least 256MB RAM (maybe a lot more). I would be surprised in any modern server has less than 128MB.

If your server really has only 20MB, you've got big trouble.

Anyway, Actinic supports at least 50 items in the cart in my test. You need a new ISP.

                Hi there.

Take a look at our hosting partners on our site at http://www.actinic.co.uk and go to services, these are worth contacting. You could also look at Pinbrook hosting at http://www.pinbrookhosting.co.uk/

                Hope this helps.

                    the responce from www.8hosting.com support

                    Dear Customer

Our servers are function as expected. If your shopping cart is causing errors on the server with "Internal Server Errors" then this is a problem with your shopping cart. None of our current existing customers who are hosting their application on this server complaining.

Due to having these servers hosted by other clients at the same time we do not capture server error logs that have been created by end users.

                    Kind Regards

                      more

                      Dear Customer

Unfortunately the hosting account you have is shared with other clients. Therefore, we can not add special requested software to the server. It might have negative impact to other clients. This is where dedicated servers are recommended, but then the cost is very high to manage and maintain. It is only good to move onto a dedicated server if you are large company. It looks like actinic software has custom needs to function on shared servers.

If you are looking for a normal shopping cart software, we have a consultant who has a custom shopping cart product that he can configure and install it for you for a fee. A sample of this product can be seen at www.my-shoppingmall.com . Let us know if you are interested.

                      Kind Regards

                          thier responce

                          Dear Customer

It is unfortunate to her about your troubles. Unfortunately we can not help you any more. The amount of email support that we have provided you has been more than what we provide to 10 clients at one shot. The issues you are having is around a product that you have purchased, where you are trying to install and having lots of challenges. These kind of installations needs to be done by a technical experts who know how to trouble shoot. This kind of support costs money, you can not cut corners and expect to have a complete ecommerce web site to be installed and configured at no cost.

                          Kind Regards

                              Hi Brian.

In light of your recent postings, I can only really advise moving to another host. I have made some recommendations earlier in this thread.
