Strange messages in the error log...?

over a couple of days last week I got multiple instances of the following two messages in my log, all from different users (ie. not some idiot trying to do something stupid or dodgy)

[Tue Nov 18 07:52:17 2003] [error] [client xxx] File does not exist: /data/web/_l/_o/_w/lowcarbgoodies.co.uk/public/www/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll

Any ideas what's going on here? MS Office???

You are getting a small sample of worms trying to get into your server. If your server is Windows, be sure you have the latest security patches. Otherwise there is nothing you can do about it. When the worms were at their peake, I would get hundreds per day.

....and keep up-to-date on all the security patches. And have a good firewall that's kept up-to-date as well.
