Creating "Unlisted Provider" for Actinic v5

    Hi there,

Does anyone know of a manual or API user guide for creating an unlisted provider into Actinic 5? I want to update the payment provider and will create a perl wrapper between Actinic 5 and an external provider.

Actinic->Provider is easy, as I can obviously see all the variables it sends me. The API of Provider->Actinic for order completion is what I'm missing.

    Many Thanks,

Actinic sell a developers kit for around £1000 i think, whether that would work with v5 i have no idea. A v5 site probably has so many security vulnerabilities now, i don't think it would be a good idea anyway tbh.

Cripes - for that amount I could just upgrade and integrate directly. Even though v5 is so old, I'd still need to pay £1000 for a developer pack?

I dont think it is version dependent, its a one off cost for a psp integration development kit, or at least that's what it was the last time someone else fell over at the cost. Which solution are you integrating, are you sure it is not already done for you in later versions?

Far better to upgrade for all sorts of reasons. There can't be more than a handful of people still using an eight year old piece of software.

Yes it most likely is - but of course that requires telling the site owner to not only fork out for an upgrade, but also take the risk that comes along with it.

              How about 10 years?

Come on Sam, that's not even a fair comparison, one of my systems is still on XP, but it has had around 20 security updates this year alone. V5 will have had none in probably 7-8 years. I'm all for top trumps, but we gotta have fair cards!
