Including other things in the search

Hi all.....need help again.

I am creating a site that will include extra pages containing information about various subjects that sit side-by-side with my
catalog pages.

Most of this extra info is relevant to the whole site so I was wondering, is it possible to include self generated items like text to the actinic search instead of just searching products?

For example, if I had a page containing info about a particular company and someone typed in that company name it would appear as a search result?

I can't actually answer the question as to whether actinic's search can do what you want but you could consider using the Google search on your site.

I switched to the Google search when I discovered than some terms weren't being found in the manner I wanted. And of course Google will search all site pages

The downside is that you can't then interogate the search results to see who is searching for what
