    Quick Search

    Hello All,
When using the quick search feature on v6 business, the search results appear, but the banner (logo), section and product images are not being shown? can this be corrected in the network setup? if so? how, any assistance will be greatly appreciated!!

    Cheers,
    Sean

There must be either something wrong in your Templates or network settings. Do other pages that use Perl scripts work (E.g. the Cart and Checkout)?

A quick fix (while your solving the real problem) that might work is to go to View / Serach Settings / Search Results and untick Highlight Located Text.

Also you appear to be masking your acatalog directory in the page URL's. That may be contributing to this problem.

      Hi Norman,
Thanks for the reply! when I order a product the banner and menu tab images do not appear, when I attempt to order a product, the process will work up until I click credit card, when I click next to take me to the next page the screen freezes at the encryption page. Any suggestions?

      Thank You,
      Sean

It's all broken as I see it.

If I go to http://catalog.farralane.com the page appears to load but with javaScript errors as soon as you mouseove a navigation icon.

If I then click the Cart icon I get missing images and more JavaScript errors.

You attempt to hide the acatalog directory is probably to blame.

It might help to tell us if it was working before and if so, what was changed.

Otherwise post your network settings (see Advanced / Network Setup / Export) but hide any passwords. Also explain what you're doing to hidde the acatalog directory.

        Norman

p.s. If I go to http://www.farralane.com/acatalog/ then the Search does work. I still get JavaScipt errors when mouseovering the nav icons though.

          Hi Norman,
Please excuse my lack of v6 knowledge! We were not able to upload catalog changes with our previous host after he switched our site to another server, yesterday we moved our site to another hosting company. We previously housed our main site at www.farralane.com , and the catalog at a sub domain http://catalog.farralane.com , I believe the new hosting company is pointing both the site and the catalog to farralane.com. When uploading to catalog now it takes about 5 minutes to complete, previously it would take 20-25 minutes to complete the upload ( our site is about 350 megs), it seems like with the exception of being able to upload changes, everything was functioning properly with the catalog before the move. Again! I really appreciate your assistance!!

p.s. when I export network setup how should I save to post it?

          Thank You,
          Sean

Export makes a textfile. It's not too big so you can just paste that file into a post. Remember to obfuscate the passwords before submitting it.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea. Actinic (as it is usually installed) expects the acatalog directory to be in a different place and not mapped to the site root.

Those gci-bin paths also look a little wierd to me.

However this isn't really my area of expertise so I hope someone else can help. At least all the info is posted now for them.

Yes, http://www.farralane.com/acatalog/ seems to work fine (apart from the mouse-overs on the navigation bar not working), so there must be a problem with the mapping to http://catalog.farralane.com/.

Try replacing the codebase value with './' see if that helps for the encryption.
