    Tax miscalculating

Hey all. My customer just noticed this problem. Usually folks order only a quantity of one when they place an order. So this issue has never come up until now! Recently someone ordered a quantity of 10 of one of the products.. Let's say the price was $1.00 for ease of discussion. Pennsylvania Tax is 6% so the tax on one item would be 6 Cents.

The person odered a quantity of 10 the price calcualtion was correct at $10.00, but the tax should've calculated to 60 cents.. but it didn't; the tax was calculated at 6 cents.. as if the person had only ordered one. IT's like Actinic tax calculator ignored the total quantity price and taxed it on a quantity of one.

The version is Actinic Catalog 4.04. Is there something I need to change in the set up? Or is this a bug with a fix?

I appreciate your help in this matter!! Thanks!!
    Regards!

This sounds like a pretty serious problem. My suggestion is to upgrade to the latest version of Actinic (4.1.1) available to download from

    http://www.actinicdownloads.com/v4/4_1_cat.htm

Please note that you will need to download the full 4.1.0 upgrade before you can upgrade to 4.1.1. Once you have 4.1.1 installed, you can install the patch that works around the problem with Norton Internet Security.

Thank you Chris... I read the answer with much trepidation.. when I see the word "upgrade". Such a small word with such enormous consequences!

Ok.. so I need to download the full version of Actinic 4.11
      then apply the Norton Patch...
Then do a snapshot of 4.04 and import the snapshot into the Patched 4.11??
      Regards!

        Be brave.

The snapshot facility on v4 isn't up to much, so as well as taking a snapshot, also take a copy of your entire 'Site1' folder (and the security settings in 'Housekeeping | Security') and keep them in a safe place. Then do the upgrade.

See my answer at the end of http://community.actinic.com/showthr...&threadid=5117 for an in-depth guide into what patches you apply when.
