    Customer Testimonials

I would like to add feedback that I get from customers onto the website which gives me a couple of questions..

Am I right in saying that I set up the page the same way Norman suggested in reply to my 'Freququently Asked Questions' questions? If that's the case, what do you suggest I put in the product field name? Can I put the customer name or should I ask customers first whether they mind?

Also, do you know if there is anyway of automating this? So that customers can add their own feedback? (which will all be good of course).

    thanks

You could look for a perl / cgi guestbook.

Also, you could have radio buttons that read:-

    How useful is this site
    1. Best Thing since sliced bread
    2. Don't bother going elsewhere - it's not worth it
    3. Diabolical
    4. Cut your throat before coming back

And you could disable points 3 and 4 so that no-one can ever select them - just a thought

look at other testimonial pages they use things like

      TJ - Exeter
      Mrs T - London

This way you don't actually identify the customer

To me it doesn't matter whether the customer can be identified or not I would always ask the customer first.

The last thing you want is an upset customer because you quoted them without asking for permission first.
