Dynamic Product Images

Hello

I have read and implemented some code from here that displays product colours (radio buttons) as icons. This works fine.

My problem is what do I need to do now to change the product image so that correspond to the selected colours.

I did that a month or so ago. I also updated this patch so you could use it as an easy way of adding icons to radio choices as well as creating the dynamic images.

Hi Norman

Using the new Google "stemming" technique I just found that thread and was in the middle of reading it.

I just implemented it into a test site and it works great!!

One question though -

Is it possible to substitute the thumbnail icons for swatch colour samples?

I'm not too sure what you mean by that. Could you give an example.

I worked it out now:

I scaled down the image to 1000 so you can't see it and then added the <img src> tag with the colour sample icon to the attribute.

Here's a minor update to the Dynamic Product Images readme that deals with those product templates where the image alternates from left to right.

There are no code changes, just a better description of how to patch the product templates.
