    Snapshot error

I want to transfer a snapshot from one machine to another but each time I get an error message "File Export Site.cpp Line 1214 No site registered."

Any suggestions. I have looked on the web site and the info has been uploaded

    Thanks

My suggestion is to not use the Snapshot in v4 - it is not too brilliant (it got much, much better in v5). The best way to transfer a site is to

    1) Zip up the whole 'Site1' folder using WinZip. This will owrk almost as well as a snapshot unless you have got your product/section images dotted throughout your PC - in which case the images will not be found in the new installation. Try and keep all your product/section images within your SIte1 (or equivalent) folder.

    2) Install a new Actinic on the second machine and license a site.

    3) Copy the entire contents of the zip file into the new Site1 folder.

    4) On the old machine, copy the settings from 'Housekeeping | Security' to a word doc and put these settings into the new installation.

    5) Refresh the site from your new PC.

      Snapshot Query

Thanks Chris, saved me much heartache. All I need to do is to persuade my client to upgrade.
