file editing utility

Anyone know of a powerful file editing utility I can use to search out many lines of code and delete them automatically.......I'm having big problems with script appearing in all my html pages and I can't get rid of it...

You could get hold of an evaluation version of Dreamweaver MX (from www.macromedia.co.uk). You can then set up your 'Site1' folder as a 'Site' within Dreamweaver, and then do a find and replace in all the files in your site.

Remember that all the files in your 'PreviewHTML' and 'SiteHTML' folders are just temporary files that can be deleted with no ill effects.

If it's lots of comments about templates then this can be turned off via Design / Options / Miscellaneous -> Compact HTML/CGI.

I use Editpad for text editing www.editpadlite.com
