Problem with a check box

Hello,

I added a checkbox to our order system, namely the "Do you want us to give out your details" checkbox. I've changed the text to ask whether the customer wants a newsletter or not. I put through a test order, but I don't get any feedback from the checkbox at all. Can anyone tell me why this is?

EDIT: I see that checking the box ticks the "Keep details private". I have a free "user definable" field, but it generates a text box. Is there any way to change this from a text box to a tick box?
