add to cart screen

is there any way that when the customer presses the add to cart button that you can stop the shopping cart appearing, this is confusing my customers as they are then bounced back to the last page that they visited and keep pressing add to cart.

I just want to make it simpler for the customer. Or can you change the screen they see to the view basket screen, as this had the edit facilities and the update/save/retrieve/checkout buttons on it?

On the Design Options, Shop Defaults tab, if you select the option "Quantity in Shopping Cart" this will take them to the View cart screen.

Alternatively you could play with the "Bounce" setting.

Did you find a satisfactory solution to this? I have the same problem and the proposed action does not work for me since I want the customer to enter the quantity on the product page.

Try changing the 'Bounce Page Delay' in 'Design | Options | Shop Defaults' to '0'. That should do it.
