taking card info on the checkout page

Hi,

I've asked this question before, but the thread went the way of discussing payment options.

I'd like to minimise the steps in the payment process and take the card details on the site.

Is it possible to take the card info on the checkout page or at least the page after, rather than take 4-5 steps to payment.

If so how, and what are the limitations involved with Actinic on this subject.
