Comparing Scripts

Is there a good compare utility to compare my hacked up 6.1.3 perl scripts with the new 6.1.4 scripts? I have not been good at documenting my changes.

I use a tool called Compare It!, downloadable from www.grigsoft.com

For quick and dirty I use good old DOS prompt. The fc command is still there even in XP. If you redirect the output to a file ( fc old new > diff.txt ) you can look at that.

I also make sure I use the same unique (to me) bit of text on every line I patch. That way I can find what I've done quickly.

Thanks. I'll try both. I started out marking each line as I changed it, but then I got sloppy. Need to get this done for V7 anyway.

Compare It! is very nice. It does a nice side by side comparison.
