Posted this one a few months ago and was hoping someone may be able to help.......
We're currently using one of Jan's moles to set the max order qty to current stock and this is working great on everything except linked products for example:
Item "A" has a current stock of 10 and the max order Qty is set to 10 by the mole - this works as expected and if the customer tries to order 11 they are pevented from doing so
Item "B" is in a different section and "links" back to item "A" through the use of components and associated product. When "B" is ordered the stock level for "A" is deducted but the max order qty is ignored so if the customer order 11 we end up with stock level of -1.
This is causing major headaches as some of the products we sell have up to 40 variations and the only sensable way to present them is by using a drop down menu with associated products.
