adding HTML to the home page

I need to edit the home page of my site, inserting HTML into the brochure page that is my home page and only my home page.

The advanced user guide says that I must edit Act_CatalogBody.html but when I do nothing seems to happen.

I don't want to edit the brochure primary template as I do not want my other brochure pages to be changed.

This is probably very easy to do, but I am not sure what the easiest and safest way is. Can anybody help, please?

Do edit your Brochure Primary template but save that file with a new name. Use that new template for your index page only.

Do this by clicking the Home page and selecting your new template under Layout.
