Affiliate Programs

Can anyone recommend any software to do an Affiliate program? I know Actinic can do this using the referrer.pl to do this, but we were after a full online system to work with Actinic, so that users could login and check there account, etc..

I looked into this about a month ago.

Smart decisions dot net have one (www.actinicplugins.com - not co.uk because that is me). This one is Actinic specific.

AllaffiliatePro is good general one (that was my choice), it is feature rich and easy to customise but I am having a few problems with my installation (Cosmic perl the suppliers are sorting this out - the problems are mainly down to my inbuilt natural ability to break software)

I think that Actinic is quite flexible so most good schemes will work with it.

Well, my experience was with UKaffilaites.com.

I paid a load of cash to them, got no results then a really disgusting email from someone calling himself " THE KID" slating our website and its products etc only to find out that the birk had left his signature file on the email and it was from one of their senior account managers.

Good service huh, and they wouldnt give me any kind of refund either. But that was my experience, I dare say many others find them OK, you have to make your own mind up. Mine is ....

So, If we do another affiliate scheme, I'm going to do my own. I'm just waiting for V7 to see how that measures up.

I have recently purchased AllAffiliatePro and we are in the process of testing before launch. Observations thus far . . .

1. Good value for money and as Jan says "feature rich"

2. Installation is fairly easy if you have a good knowledge of website directories / url's etc. The suppliers offers a really inexpensive installation service . . . I would recommend it for anyone who has the slightest doubt or is unfamiliar with scripts etc.

3. See discussion here Cosmic Perl are rewriting their software (minor mods) to improve compatibility with Actinic.


4. We have tested with shared ssl and can report all OK thus far

Lyle has all affiliate pro working for me now - I just need to put it into a set of brochure pages and I'll be up and running.

This is the sort of thing that happens to most people that signup to an Affiliate Network such as UKAffiliates. It's annoying because it can but people off affiliate marketing, when it should just put people off affiliate networks.
If you purchase your own affiliate software, like that provided by AllAffiliatePro.co.uk it's usually a one off cost, with no monthly fees. There is also no 30% taken from your affiliates earnings. This makes things a lot more cost effective form the start, and allows you to offer a better deal to your affiliates. Also all affiliates you signup are yours, and not a part of a network. So you are the one in comlete control over the affiliate program. The list goes on, there is to much to put in a thread.

Affiliate solutions for Actinic

AllAffiliatePro can also used as a private affiliate network, not just a single affiliate program. That way if you have multiple sites you can advertise them all through the same affiliate program.

My scheme is just about to go live - I hope that you are going to join it James Took a while because I have been busy finishing off my multiuser actinic order processing product and so didn't get around to it until now. I had excellent support from cosmic perl.
