    Problem with Referrer code

I need to be able to track sales from external sites, but cannot get the Referrer code to work. Actinic technical support have given me the following to try, but to no avail.

    http://www.bigbrownbox.co.uk/cgi-bin...%2fshop%2ehtml

I can place orders using this, but Referrer does not appear on downloaded orders (or in sales reports) and it effectively breaks
    the page navigation.

Any help or ideas would be very gratefully received as at this rate I will soon be bald !

PS site is still a work in progress so please don,t be too harsh.

    Try this one

    http://www.bigbrownbox.co.uk/CGI-Bin/rs000999.pl?SOURCE=123&DESTINATION=shop%2ehtml&PATH=%2e%2e%2facatalog%2f&BASEURL=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2ebigbrownbox%2eco%2euk%2facatalog%2f

I took the shop%2ehtml (shop.html) off the end and changed the landing page to 'shop.html' rather than 'Box_Packs.html'.

Seems to land you without any missing images now. See if that makes a difference.

      Chris,

you are a star, the referrer now shows up in sales reports/transactions by referrer. Many thanks, I can now stop tearing my hair out.

        IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION

note, if you use the Referrer system, you MUST ensure you dont change your cgi number, or your referrers will get a 404 page not found error.

I am talking about the number in the network setup box. its the number that tells actinic what to call the .pl files (eg if its set to 1 then you get 000001.pl and ca000001.pl etc. if you reset to 26 you get 000026.pl and ca000026.pl) which then means the reference in the link is wrong.

BEWARE! i lost a couple of days referrals from this!
