Customvar Add To Cart

Is there any way of using a customvar on 'add to cart' buttons?

I am using a thumbnail layout on some sections and would like to add a buy now button on some sections.

Anyone know how?

You can only have Cart buttons on Product pages not Sections.

Could you elaborate on what you want to do and post an example URL if possible.
