I have just installed actinic shared ssl, and it works fine.
However, the complete lack of customisation is a real pain. Most companies want a consistent look and feel to their websites, including the checkout phases. Most of us spend a lot of time and effort to get our sites looking consistent.
Then when we get to secure checkout, we get a bog standard page which doesnt look anything like our pages AND has the actinic web address in the browser bar.....
My customers suddenly think - is this the same company? am i being redirected to a fake payment site? do I trust this just because there is a lock in the browser window?
Judging by the paypal options in the OCC paypal template, secure pages can be maintained secure if referred items such as logos etc come from another secure server (i.e. the logo image you can set with paypal).
Can you introduce such a system for actinic? being able to set up and use an SSL payment template that passes the page layout etc froma secure location would be fab as we would be able to ensure the sites look and feel is maintained.
Also, I have seen a site that sets the browser window to 'no address bar' when the shared ssl page is reached and thus the switch from www.hostname.com to www.actinic.com is not so obvious. Can you consider that at actinic?
lastly, can you at least get rid of those nasty horizonal rule lines from the checkout page!!!!!! they are nasty!

I'll feed this back to the development team for consideration in a future release. We should be able to do some of it.
Thanks Actinic for keeping your communication levels high. Its good to know you take your customers suggestions seriously, and actually do something about them! (unlike several other companies we could mention)
I look forward to those horizontal rules dissapearing soon
