Dreamweaver Extensions - Actinic

Hi

Hope I am not missing something simple somewhere but can someone throw some light on the above extensions, I am awaiting delivery of DW 2004 MX, but I note from a number of posts here that I need the actinic extensions in order to make sense of the Actinic templates within DW

Where do I get this extension? and how is it installed.

Hi Brian,

To install the DW extensions simply browse to:
C:\ Program Files \ Actinic ecommerce v6 \ Extensions \ Dreamweaver \ Actinic_Assistant \ ActinicAssistant.mxp

and double click on the file. The installation should be automatic.

Check out Actinic's help file (Help | Help Topics) and search for "Macromedia Dreamweaver Extensions" if you want more info.

Sorry to trouble you again Tony but looking at my folders as suggested, the extension one is not present. Will this be inserted when I install DW?

Do you have Catalog, Business or Developer?

The extension is not provided with Catalog.

Sorry, I should of made it clear the assistant is only provided with Developer.

I will download this file and then I assume that I create a folder path as outlined by Toby and insert the file there is this correct?

Hi there,

You can just download the dreamweaver extensions onto your desktop and simply doubleclick on it, to install it.

Should install into Dreamweaver. Please note this extensions only works with Dreamweaver 4 and upwards. Also as the extensions was designed for Actinic developers, some functions do not work with Catalog. One of these functions is the "Regenerate" option. But you can simply go to Actinic and preview again.
