    Windows 2000 question

I'm moving Actinic off of my Windows XP machine, and onto one with Windows 2000. I've looked through documentation and don't see any issues -- but thought I'd double check here. Any problems? Any words of wisdom before I make the move?

I am also using the Paypal module, and the Quickbooks link.

    Thanks,
    Pat

There are no particular issues with those two.

The procedure for doing a transfer is

    1) Take a snapshot of your site.

    2) Install Actinic on the new machine, ensureing you install the UPS tools and the quickbooks link.

    3) Import the snapshot on the new machine, ensuring you choose to overwrite all orders on the new machine (thus bringing the order history from the old machine).

    4) Preview your store just to check all your templates have come across correctly.

The only issue you may have is if the XP machine has an extra firewall/proxy that the W2K machine didn't. Click the 'Test' button in 'Advanced | Network Setup' in order to check Actinic will be able to upload/download OK.

If it works then refresh your store from the new machine.
