Credit card validation

I have on a couple of occasions received orders but the credit card has only had 12 digits entered by the customer.

Is there a way to improve the validation to avoid this in future?

Actinic applies the standard credit-card algorithm to the credit card numbers entered, and if they numerically correspond to the algorithm then they will be accepted.

I take your point though and I will pass this onto the development team.
